Protesting Museum Opening-

The organization, Feminists for Life, opened and dedicated the Susan B. Anthony birthplace and museum today in Adams, Mass. The dedication ceremony was invitation only but the museum will be open to the public starting tomorrow.

Jeanne Matthew from Adams, organized a group of citizens to protest the opening of the museum. The purpose being to challenge the museum's position that Anthony was against abortion.

Matthews stated, " Comments Anthony made about abortion were few and far between and were not about being pro life or pro choice...but about women's health."

So, Anthony didn't really care about the safety of the unborn?

Here is a quote from Susan B. Anthony:

"Sweeter even than to have had the joy of caring for children of my own has it been to me to help bring about a better state of things for mothers generally, so that their unborn little ones could not be willed away from them."~ Susan B. Anthony- quoted from "The American Feminist" 1998

Obviously, we can see from this quote that Anthony was concerned about the mothers. But one of the reasons she was working to bring about a better state of things for them was .....so that abortion would not even have to be an option and that their unborn babies would stay safe.

I think it's safe to say, Susan B. Anthony was definently pro life. And why wouldn't she be?

Abortion kills babies. Abortion hurts women.

Mother Teresa on Abortion.......

"America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has sown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father's role in an increasingly fatherless society. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts -- a child -- as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience. It has nominally accorded mothers unfettered dominion over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters" And, in granting this unconscionable power, it has exposed many women to unjust and selfish demands from their husbands or other sexual partners. Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign." ......................................
"But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killing of the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love, and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Jesus gave even his life to love us. So the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love - that is, to give until it hurts her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts. By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. And by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching the people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion. "

Just Another "Anti-Choice" Fanatic......

"Sweeter even than to have had the joy of caring for children of my own has it been to me to help bring about a better state of things for mothers generally, so that their unborn little ones could not be willed away from them."

Sixth Annual Walk for Life West Coast....

At least 35,000 pro life walkers made it out to participate in the sixth annual Walk for Life West Coast today in San Francisco, CA. It is the largest crowd that has attended the walk event so far!

Speakers included Abby Johnson, who worked for Planned Parenthood for eight years. Mrs. Johnson walked away from her job as a Planned Parenthood clinic director in October after assisting in an abortion, and Lila Rose from Live Action.

Lila Rose, founder and president of Live Action stated: "The fact that we have allowed abortion in this great nation, the killing of the most defenseless and weak among us has resulted in the greatest human rights abuse I believe our nation has ever seen. It is up to us to stand, raise our voices, and protect the smallest."

Upcoming 40 Days for Life Campaign

This week is an extremely important one for the pro life movement as we memorialize the 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in all 50 states. Across the country this week thousands have attended pro life marches and rallies like the one we went to in Columbia last weekend. Tens of Thousands are expected to attend the March for Life in DC this year ( Wish I could be there :( Maybe next year...)

Also, I wanted to share the exciting news about the upcoming 40 Days for Life campaign.....
With 155 cities in the U.S., 4 Canadian Provinces, and 3 Australian states participating in the campaign it will be the largest spring campaign so far!
The spring campaign will be all about intense prayer to end abortion, fasting , constant vigil outside abortion clinics and grassroots outreach from Feb 17th to March 28. Hopefully a lot more people will get involved in the campaign and the pro life movement to end abortion this year!

A bunch of us met at Upstate to carpool to Cola and once there, we were able to meet up with some of the students from the USC Students for Life group and march with them to the Statehouse. It was great to be there! It was a pretty good turnout and as always, encouraging to see so many people coming together to stand up for life! Afterwards we had some fun and good BBQ with the USC people!
